Blackjack Brian Brown is ready to get Rowdy in NASCAR truck debut at Knoxville

‘Blackjack’ Brian Brown will be truckin’ with Kyle Busch Motorsports for the NASCAR Knoxville Raceway coming-out party.

The 42-year-old Grain Valley, Missourian will pilot the No. 51 Casey’s General Stores/Rowdy Energy Tundra for KBM in Knoxville's inaugural Camping World Truck Series Race on July 9.

While Brownie is a NASCAR novice, his sprint car record at the iconic half-mile Iowa track is beyond impressive. In addition to four 410-Sprint track championships at Knoxville Raceway, he has amassed 52 career 410 feature wins. 

“It’s so cool that I’m getting the opportunity to make my NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series debut at a track that is not only my favorite, but a track that I’ve experienced a tremendous amount of success, with my long-time partner Casey’s, and my newest partner Rowdy Energy collaborating to make this dream come true,” Brown said. 

In February, team owner Kyle Busch announced that Brown would be named to the Rowdy Energy Athlete roster. Earlier this month, Rico Abreu, who carried the Rowdy colors in the 2021 Chili Bowl Nationals, was added to the list.

“It’s been a lot of fun this year as a Rowdy Energy athlete to be able to introduce racing fans across the country to all of the great flavors that Kyle has created in his energy drink and interact with them when they share their appreciation for his product on social media,” Brown added. “I’m excited that now they’ll be able to purchase Rowdy Energy easily at over 1800 Casey’s stores.”

Similar to Busch, Brown is an owner/operator of his own race team, which debuted in 2006. Brown, who has 185 career victories in a variety of dirt disciplines, is also scheduled to compete with the World of Outlaws, All-Stars, and ASCS in 2021. In addition to his stellar stats in the 410 ranks at Knoxville, Brown also has a title and 16 feature wins in the 360 division.

“Brian has been a great ambassador for the Rowdy Energy brand this year and has an impressive resume at Knoxville, so, as the Camping World Truck Series visits the famed dirt track for the first time, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to get him behind the wheel of the No. 51 Tundra,” Busch said. “From racing out in Iowa a few times myself, I’ve seen first-hand how much Casey’s supports motorsports in the Midwest. It’s an honor to not only have them onboard at KBM as a sponsor for the inaugural NASCAR event at Knoxville but to also have them carrying Rowdy Energy in their stores.”

Since KBM debuted in 2010, the company has collected two NASCAR Camping World Truck titles and 83 wins—including three on dirt. Darrell ‘Bubba’ Wallace Jr., and Christopher Bell went back-to-back at Eldora Speedway in 2014-2015. Most recently, Martin Truex Jr., won the inaugural truck race on dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 29.
