AutoTempest will partner with Roush Fenway Racing as a primary sponsor for Chris Buescher and the No. 17 Ford Mustang.

AutoTempest, an aggregator of online auto classifieds, will enjoy its NASCAR coming out party with Buescher at Kansas Speedway on May 2. AutoTempest will return as the livery on the No. 17 Ford with the 28-year-old racer at the inaugural Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas on May 23.

“We’re excited to partner with a brand like AutoTempest that falls right into our wheelhouse when talking about cars,” Buescher said. “Any time we can welcome a new partner to the sport, it brings an extra element of excitement for the team.”

AutoTempest.com has provided an online clearinghouse for car buyers since 2008. The company decided a moving billboard in NASCAR’s top tour would expose AutoTempest to a new market.

"We've never really done a lot of traditional advertising," said AutoTempest CEO Nathan Stretch. "When people hear there's a site where you can basically search everywhere at once for used cars, it kind of sells itself. Instead, we've focused on supporting the automotive and motorsports communities, which helps get the word out about what we do but also lets us give back at the same time. As fans ourselves, having the opportunity to sponsor Chris and the team is really incredible.”

Buescher is currently 16th in the Cup standings. In 10 starts at Kansas, Buescher has two top 10s including a sixth-place finish in 2017. The Prosper, Texas native is looking forward to carrying the AutoTempest colors—particularly when he returns home to the Lone Star State for COTA’s debut.

Buescher has one road course win—at Mid-Ohio in 2014 when he competed in Roush Fenway Racing’s Xfinity program. Recently, he’s enjoyed a career-best average finish of eighth at the Daytona Road Course

“We can’t wait to put the AutoTempest Ford Mustang on track in a couple of weeks in Kansas, and then again down the road when we visit a new track in my home state.”
