Mack McCarter sweeps $5,000 Rick King Memorial with Steel Block Bandits at 411 Motor Speedway
McCarter Brothers Racing continued their winning ways on Saturday night with Mack McCarter taking the Jim Beeman Lumber / West End Package Store / McCarter Brothers Racing No. 51 Tennessee Homemade Wines / Parkway Liquor Store / MasterSbilt Race Car / Phantom Racing Engine Late Model to the Winner’s Circle.
McCarter topped the Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge sanctioned, Rick King Memorial at 411 Motor Speedway to collect the $5,000 payday.
“We hit the ground running and were able to sweep the night. Jordan [Rodabaugh] made a great charge there late, but thankfully I was able to hang on and get the win,” Mack McCarter shared. “We’ve got a great team and some great people helping us, and this win is for them. We’re having a lot of fun right now as a team.”
With the Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge Series in town, Mack McCarter made the short trip to 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) on Saturday evening for the $5,000-to-win Rick King Memorial.
Among 31 Late Models checked in, McCarter laid down the fastest lap in his qualifying group before a victory in his heat race earned him the pole position in the main event.
Leading all 50-laps in the feature, Mack held off a hard-charging Jordan Rodabaugh just long enough after crossing the line 0.008 seconds ahead of him at the checkered flag. Kenny Collins, Derick Quade, and Jensen Ford rounded out the Top 5 finishers.
