$5,000 and $4,000 Paydays Up For Grabs With The American Sprint Car Series This Weekend!

KANSAS CITY, Kan. —  Round two this season at Lakeside Speedway Friday, followed by the long-awaited return to the Salina Highbanks Speedway on Saturday, a high-speed weekend is on tap this weekend for the American Sprint Car Series presented by RacinDirt.com.

Added money at Lakeside Speedway on Friday, August 25; the event is part of the ASCS Summer Super Series, paying out $5,000 to win, $500 to start.

Making things even sweeter, AR Dyno Specialty Heat Races will pay $100 to win, plus an extra $250 to the overall quick qualifier and $250 to the KSE Hard Charger in the A-Feature. Taking on the four-tenths-mile oval on May 26, Iowa’s Carson McCarl wheeled the Country Builders No. 88 to the lead on Lap 16 after starting fifth and never looked back.

Friday, August 25, at Lakeside Speedway, opens at 6:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. and Racing at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and military, $10 for youth (12-15), and free for kids 12 and under. Pits are $40. The event is being promoted by Terry Mattox. Saturday, August 26, at the Salina Highbanks will feature at $4,000 to win, $400 to start A-Feature. Twelve times on the 22-degree banked turns since 1998, the last time the series rolled into town was on June 6, 2015, with Blake Hahn going to Victory Lane for the first time against the ASCS National Tour. The event is paired with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products. The regional tour is at Creek County Speedway on Friday night.

Saturday, August 26, at the Salina Highbanks Speedway, opens at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 6:30 P.M. and Racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for military and youth (6-12), and free for kids five and under. Pits are $40. Salina Highbanks Speedway is located at 30 minutes east of Claremore, Okla., on Hwy. 20.
