Tulsa, Caney host Sooner Late Models this weekend, added money up for grabs

TULSA, Okla. —  Two nights of racing and added money are on tap for the Complete Well Testing Sooner Late Model Series presented by Hayden Ross Motorsports Foundation this weekend.

The weekend gets underway on Friday with a return to Tulsa Speedway. Brett Hansen won his first feature of the season at Tulsa on April 15 and will lead a strong field of competitors to Tulsa looking to stop him from repeating.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 7:30 and racing at 8.

Saturday the Sooner Series returns to Caney Valley Speedway for the James House Memorial. The date was originally scheduled for Creek County Speedway but a switch with Caney has moved the Creek County race to September 30.

Added money is on the line at Caney Valley Speedway on Saturday with $3,000 going to the A-feature winner. The race will also pay $350-to-start.

Four-time Sooner champion Kip Hughes won at Caney on July 22.

Now the series has grown beyond the borders of Oklahoma with events held in the neighboring states of Kansas, Texas and Arkansas
