USRA Tri-State Challenge hottest ticket on dirt Labor Day Weekend

Fountain City, WI —  If you want to witness top-flight talent and high-horsepower machines this Labor Day Weekend, the only event worth it's weight in gold and glory is the inaugural Tri-State Challenge.

Featuring three nights of awesome action, the three-day mini-series will pay $3,000 to win each night for the USRA Modifieds.

Action kicks off at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis., on Friday Sept. 1.

Then on Saturday, the Deer Creek Speedway in the rolling hills of Spring Valley, Minn., plays host to the Tri-State Challenge.

The tripleheader wraps up Sunday, Sept. 3, at the Pritchard Family Auto Stores Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa.

Here's the USRA Modified main event payout each night: 1. $3000, 2. $1500, 3. $1000, 4. $800, 5. $600, 6. $500, 7. $400, 8. $350, 9. $325, 10. $300, 11. $275, 12. $250, other starters $225, tow $75. The entry fee each night is $100.

All Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series classes will be battling for precious USRA national points at all three races.

In addition to the USRA Modifieds, Friday's show at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway will be headlined by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series competing for a $20,000 top prize with support class action featuring USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks each racing for $500 to win.

Deer Creek Speedway's Labor Day Duel on Saturday will featuring a second night of World of Outlaw Late Model action, with USRA B-Mods rounding out the three-class program.

On Sunday, the Pritchard Family Auto Stores Mason City Motor Speedway will close the curtain on the inaugural Tri-State Challenge with the the third straight night of $3,000-to-win USRA Modified action.

Medieval USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks, USRA Tuners and Outlaw Mini-Mods will complete the busy night of boom at the 1/3-mile clay oval at the North Iowa Fairgrounds.

For more than two decades, the USRA has attracted more and more racetracks and dirt track racers each year through fair, logical and cost-effective rules accompanied by an organization that puts the racers, racetracks and their fans first.
