Wet weather dooms Lucas Oil MLRA weekend at Tri-City

WHEATLAND, MO. — Early morning rainfall on Wednesday, along with a high likelihood of additional rains this Friday, has forced the cancelation of the Lucas Oil MLRA Championship Weekend scheduled for Tri-City Speedway on October 13th & 14th.

Forecast projections include a potential for storms on Friday morning followed by lingering showers with little to no chance of drying conditions.  Track and series officials concluded it would be in the best interest of traveling race teams and fans to make a clear decision early in the week, allowing teams to make alternate plans.
The MLRA Championship weekend will return to the Tri-City Speedway in 2024 with dates to be announced in the coming weeks.

At this time, no official decision has been made regarding the possibility of a make-up date for the 2023 MLRA Championship finale.  Details regarding such updates to the 2023 schedule will be released by the end of this week.
