American Racer USRA Modified Series schedule revised

A few changes have been made to the 2023 schedule for the American Racer USRA Modified Series powered by Day Motor Sports.

To date, six events have been eliminated by inclement weather while two others have been canceled or postponed to future dates.

“Working with other racetracks in the region, whether they be USRA-sanctioned or otherwise, is paramount to the ARMS series and our organization as a whole,” said USRA Chief Communications Officer Jeff Nun. “If dirt tracks go away, then the racers, fans and USRA go with them.”

The first change of note is that the Arrowhead Speedway in Colcord, Okla., and Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Okla., have moved their doubleheader weekend to Friday and Saturday, June 23-24.

With that scenario, the event originally slated for June 24 at the Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, La., has been dropped, but the ARMS will be back on Saturday, Aug. 26. Earlier this season, the track took on an added date from another venue.

Finally, the ARMS race scheduled for Aug. 5 at the Super Bee Speedway in Chatham, La., is canceled, leaving a total of 18 events currently on the campaign plus any others that may be added.
