Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing commit to absolutely nothing in 2024

GETTYSBURG, Penn. — Despite the off-season in full force for much of the open wheel world, Gettysburg’s Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing have been hard at work, not only prepping mechanically for their 2024 campaign, but simultaneously solidifying their plan of attack.

With many of the country’s traveling sanctioning bodies releasing their schedules just in time for PRI in Indianapolis, the time to announce seemed fitting for “Double-D,” and the recent Les Stewart Showdown champion has decided to commit to absolutely nothing.

“We’re going to do things week by week this year,” Danny Dietrich, ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Cochrancars.com, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Self Made Racing, No. 48 sprint car, said. “We’re privileged to be in an area that offers so much week to week, and if we don’t have to leave home, we’re not going to. In the past, we always tried to release a full schedule ahead of time, but we’re going to avoid that and race where it makes the most sense. Weather, payout, our fans…they all play a factor in our plans. Regardless of where we go, we’re excited for another year.”

Although Dietrich’s 2024 schedule will be week to week, his annual trip south to launch the year with action in the Sunshine State still stands at a certainty, planning to join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and High Limit Sprint Car Series during visits to Volusia Speedway Park and East Bay Raceway Park, respectively.

A full lineup of Florida appearances will be highlighted in the coming weeks.

“Of course, we wouldn’t be in this position without Gary Kauffman,” Dietrich added. “He does so much for this race team and allows us the opportunity to go out and compete where we see fit. We owe it all to him.”
